INTERIOR REFIT AND JOINERY

Yacht Interior Refit,
Joinery and Redesign

KRM Yacht renews, reconfigures and installs yacht interior packages for 30–120m yachts, combining onboard survey, technical detailing, in-house joinery, workshop production and controlled onboard installation.

Interior refit work becomes critical once layout changes start affecting access, service routes, lighting details, equipment positions and onboard use. KRM keeps the scope connected to the real vessel, the real yard sequence and the real handover path.

For owners, captains, owner’s representatives and yacht managers who need interior renewal without letting the package break the wider yard schedule.

WORKSHOP-TO-YARD INTERIOR REFIT

A Controlled Interior Route
Inside the Yard Period

Interior refit work is exposed to access limits, service routes, protection needs, finish quality and the wider refit schedule. KRM keeps the package readable from onboard survey to fabrication, installation and handover.

CNC, Cutting and Shaping

3-axis and 5-axis CNC, routing, milling, sliding table saw, band saw, planer and calibration equipment support accurate and repeatable interior production.

Veneer, Edge and Surface Work

Veneer cutting, edge banding, pressing, surface preparation and finishing are controlled before the package moves to pre-fit or onboard installation.

Finishing, Upholstery and Assembly

Finishing, varnish work, upholstery and assembly stay in-house so quality issues can be corrected before pieces are sent to the yacht.

INTERIOR REFIT SCOPE

Interior Packages KRM Can Deliver

KRM supports interior renewal packages where finish work, joinery, layout revision and onboard installation need to stay coordinated inside the wider yard period.

Layout Revision and
Accommodation Renewal

Guest areas, owner spaces, cabins, heads, galleys and crew areas can be reworked while keeping circulation, service access and onboard use clean.

Joinery, Cabinetry and
Custom Furniture

Fixed furniture, built-ins, bars, pantries, wardrobes and detailed joinery are developed around marine use, tolerances and access constraints.

Surface, Finish and
Soft-Package Renewal

Veneer replacement, lacquer refinishing, flooring, leather lining, upholstery, curtains and headboards are planned for clean onboard installation.

Lighting, Equipment and
Detail Integration

Lighting layouts, selected appliances, grilles, service panels, stainless details, mirrors and decorative glass are folded into one working package.

PROCESS

How the Interior Refit Package Moves Through the Yard

Each package starts from the real yacht and the target yard window, then moves through technical checks, workshop production, onboard installation and close-out.

01

Onboard survey

Dimensions, existing conditions, access routes and hidden interfaces are checked against the intended scope.

02

Scope lock

The package is reduced to what is changing, what remains and which areas affect the yard sequence.

03

Technical review

Lighting, HVAC, AV, service panels, fixing points and adjacent trades are reviewed early.

04

Material decisions

Veneer, lacquer, leather, upholstery, flooring, stone and finish selections are confirmed.

05

Production planning

Fabrication depth, lead times, protection, logistics and installation windows are planned.

06

Shop drawings

Where required, production details are prepared or reviewed before workshop fabrication.

07

In-house production

Joinery, cabinetry, veneer, upholstery, finishing and assembly move through the workshop.

08

Pre-fit checks

Selected modules can be checked for geometry, tolerances and interfaces before installation.

09

Onboard installation

Components are installed according to access, protection, yard timing and project sequence.

10

Close-out

Final adjustment, snagging, documentation and handover items are closed with the project team.

    STARTING AN INTERIOR REFIT SCOPE

    For Owners, Captains,
    Owner’s Representatives and
    Yacht Managers

Interior work becomes harder to recover once fabrication, access and onboard sequence are left open for too long. If an upcoming yard period includes accommodation renewal, reconfiguration or joinery replacement, the useful first step is to lock the working scope against the real yacht.

    Useful Starting Information

    • Vessel size, location and target yard period
    • Interior areas under review
    • Available GA, layouts or existing drawings
    • Photos of current interior condition
    • Known access, service or equipment constraints
    • Finish, furniture, lighting or soft-package requirements
    • Owner’s representative, captain or project contact
