Yacht Glazing and Window Replacement Services
KRM Yacht provides glazing, plexiglass, and window replacement services for superyachts, covering exterior windscreens and windows as well as portlights, hatches, and selected interior glass elements. Typical reasons for a glazing scope include leaks and water ingress, delamination or cracking, UV related degradation, poor visibility, or an upgrade requirement during a refit period.
Work starts with an onsite assessment to confirm the failure mode and the installation type, including bonded glazing details where applicable. The right material is selected based on location and use, such as laminated or toughened safety glass, curved or tinted options, and acrylic or polycarbonate panels where required. For bonded systems, surface preparation and adhesive bonding steps are treated as critical, with careful alignment and controlled sealing to reduce the risk of future leaks.
Installation scopes can include removal of the existing unit, preparation of the aperture and seating surfaces, fitting and bonding, and close-out checks. Where required, leak investigation and re-sealing can be carried out as targeted works, with notes that support handover and future maintenance planning.
