INTERIOR MANUFACTURING AND FIT-OUT
Superyacht Interior
Manufacturing for Newbuild
and Fit-Out Projects
KRM Yacht manufactures and installs custom superyacht interior packages from approved design documents, production drawings and project specifications.
Interior components are produced in KRM’s 2,500 sqm in-house workshop in Darica, near Istanbul and the Tuzla yacht cluster. The work can move through drawing review, production coordination, CNC, joinery, veneer, upholstery, finishing, pre-fit, yard delivery, onboard installation and close-out under one controlled route.
For shipyards, yacht designers, owner’s representatives and project teams working from approved design or production documents.

PRE-FIT, DELIVERY AND
ONBOARD INSTALLATION
WORKSHOP-TO-YARD INTERIOR WORK
A Controlled
Production Route
Before Onboard Installation
KRM's interior route is built around controlled workshop production and practical yard installation.
The main production work is carried out in Darica. Finished or pre-fitted components are then prepared for yard delivery and onboard installation according to access, protection, project timing and close-out requirements.
This keeps the interior package controlled against real project conditions: drawings, dimensions, systems, materials, tolerances, onboard access and the yard period.
CNC, Cutting and Shaping
3-axis and 5-axis CNC, routing, milling, sliding table saw, band saw, planer and calibration equipment support accurate and repeatable interior production.
Veneer, Edge and Surface Work
Veneer cutting, edge banding, pressing, surface preparation and finishing are controlled before the package moves to pre-fit or onboard installation.
Finishing, Upholstery and Assembly
Finishing, varnish work, upholstery and assembly stay in-house so quality issues can be corrected before pieces are sent to the yacht.

Why Workshop
Production Matters to
the Interior Package
When interior manufacturing, finishing and onboard installation are split between too many parties, dimensions, access, finish quality and close-out become harder to control.
KRM keeps production in its Darica workshop and connects it to the yard installation phase through one practical workflow.
- Fewer uncontrolled subcontractor interfaces
- Faster correction cycles before delivery to the yacht
- Better control over dimensions and tolerances
- Consistent veneer, edge and finish quality
- Earlier planning for service access and removable panels
- Clearer accountability during installation and close-out

Review
For GA drawings, designer packages, approved concepts, finish schedules, specifications and production-ready information.
Production Drawings
and Coordination
For shop drawings, manufacturing details, technical interfaces, material approvals, tolerances and production planning before the workshop phase.

For existing yachts that need worn, damaged or outdated areas renewed without replacing the full interior.
Process
How the Interior Package Moves Through Production
01
Scope and document review
GA, concept package, specification, production drawings, finish schedule and project notes are reviewed.
02
Survey and measurement check
Where required, onboard measurements or shipyard data are checked against the production package.
03
Technical interface
review
Lighting, AV, HVAC, access panels, service routes, fixing points and adjacent trades are checked before fabrication.
04
Shop drawings where required
Production details are prepared or reviewed so the workshop can manufacture without leaving core installation questions open.
05
Material and finish approval
Veneer, upholstery, hardware, surface finish and selected materials are confirmed before production starts.
06
Mock-up or pre-fit where required
Selected areas, modules or details can be checked before final onboard installation.
07
Workshop
production
CNC, joinery, veneer, upholstery, finishing and assembly are completed in the in-house production workshop.
08
Quality check and
packing
Finished components are checked, protected, packed and prepared for yard delivery.
09
Onboard
installation
The package is installed onboard according to access, protection, tolerances, yard timing and project sequence.
10
Adjustment, close-out and handover
Final fitting, adjustment, snagging and handover items are closed with the project team.

Service Access
Removable panels, access routes and maintenance points should be considered before production is locked.
System Interfaces
Electrical, AV, lighting, HVAC, grilles and equipment interfaces need coordination with visible interior elements.
Finish Durability
Surface choices need to reflect onboard use, movement, cleaning, maintenance and protection during installation.
Installation Reality
Access routes, tolerances, lifting, protection and final adjustment can affect the finished result as much as workshop production.

STARTING AN INTERIOR PRODUCTION SCOPE
For Shipyards, Designers,
Owner’s Representatives
and Project Teams
Every interior package starts from a different point. Some projects arrive with a designer’s concept package. Some have GA drawings, specifications and finish schedules. Others are already at production drawing stage.
KRM reviews the available information, clarifies the production scope, checks the technical interfaces and defines how the package should move from workshop production to onboard installation.
Useful Starting Information
- General arrangement or relevant drawings
- Approved concept design or designer package
- Production drawings or shop drawings if available
- Finish schedule, material notes or specifications
- Area list and intended interior scope
- Target yard period and installation location
- Shipyard, designer, owner’s representative or project contact
