Yacht Insulation, Isolation & Soundproofing Solutions
KRM Yacht provides insulation and isolation works for superyachts focused on three common needs onboard: temperature control, noise reduction, and vibration management. Scope can include thermal insulation to reduce heat transfer, acoustic insulation and soundproofing to lower noise levels in living areas, and vibration isolation to limit structure borne noise from machinery and equipment.
Projects typically cover engine rooms and technical spaces, accommodation areas, bulkheads and ceilings, HVAC ducts and air handling units, and piping systems where heat loss, condensation, or noise transmission is an issue. Exhaust and muffler insulation can also be included when heat shielding and safer surface temperatures are required.
Work usually starts with an onboard check to identify the main noise paths, hot spots, and vibration sources. Installation is then planned around access and maintenance needs, with attention to sealing, joints, and moisture control so the system performs consistently over time. The aim is a quieter interior, more stable onboard temperatures, reduced condensation risk, and better comfort during operation.
