KRM announces plans for new project S/Y Delusha

December 9, 2020

Previously known as Aphrodite A, 43-metre (141-foot) S/Y Delusha is undergoing a huge refit project at Turkish shipyard KRM. The project began on 22nd November 2020 and is expected to last 6 months.

Managing director, Kerem Baser said, “This project is another milestone for us due to the type and length of the vessel and the scope of work. To be honest, we are an expert for motor yacht refit and have completed just 2 sailing yacht refits in the last 10 years at our facility.

“We were not keen on having a sailing yacht refit project at all, but there are so many reasons for us doing this project. She has really big refit potential, and when we received the data, documentation and photos of the project, we all had the same intention – we need to do this project,” Baser added.

Designed by Hoek Design, planned works include full painting of the hull and superstructure, modifying the aft area and installing a new transformer. As well as this, KRM will unstep and step the mast and boom, service all hatches, overhaul the MTU main engine, repair the main hydraulic system and modify the engine room.

“We, as a KRM refit family, are really interested in having such challenging projects, pushing boundaries and delivering them to high standards, with full satisfaction from the client.” Baser concluded.
