Day Boat
Day boat describes a boat or small yacht intended mainly for daytime use, short coastal cruising, entertaining, and watersports. The design usually prioritises open deck space, easy boarding, and direct access to the water over full overnight accommodation.
The label covers several layouts, including open sport boats, walkarounds, and luxury day cruisers. Some day boats include a small cabin, head, or compact galley, but extended onboard living is usually secondary to day use. In the yacht market, the term is broad, so size, styling, and onboard features can vary significantly between builders.
