Originally built in 1991, Euroship Cees Cornelissen BV motor yacht Miami Blues is now undergoing a refit scheduled to be completed midway through next year. The Miami Blues refit will be handled by KRM Yacht Refit and Repair in Turkey.
Currently at 34.9 metres (although the length may change) Miami Blues features an exterior design collaboration between Richard Hein and Red Yacht Design, while her interiors are a team-effort by Richard Hein, Red Yacht Design and Struik & Hamerslag.
The refit project, which began in June this year, will be extensive. As well as repainting the hull and superstructure and replacing the interior, teak decking, hardtop and exterior stairs, the boat will be undergoing many modifications for which a hull extension is necessary.
She will also receive a new sitting area in the bow with a jacuzzi, an extended third deck and a new flybridge.
Miami Blues is additionally undergoing a technical revamp. Her main engines will be overhauled and the engine room itself modified. New zero speed stabilisers will be added to the yacht to ensure smooth sailing. All electronic infrastructure will be repaired.
Managing director of KRM, Kerem Baser, commented: “This project will be one of the most exciting for our company so far. We believe that she will be re-delivered in 12 months and reborn as ‘M/Y Wolfoz’.”
