KRM Yacht Refit & Rebuild has announced the completion of a newly installed 900-ton lift, which is now in operation at the facility based in Tuzla, Istanbul.
As the largest lift of its kind in Turkey, the new lift has the ability to accommodate yachts up to 70-metres in length, after having undergone testing with a 1,100-ton load.
According to the yard, “this new equipment enables KRM Yacht to take on even the most demanding superyacht projects with unmatched precision and efficiency.”
Thanks to the presence of the new lift, KRM Yacht is set to cater to a larger scale of yacht refit and repair projects, enhancing yacht services in the Mediterranean region.
In 2024, KRM Yacht reached milestones including the achievement of LRQA certification for quality, environmental responsibility and safety, while they also became a member of the ICOMIA Superyacht Refit Group.
Kerem Başer, Managing Director of KRM Yacht, commented: “This past year has been truly remarkable for KRM Yacht. With the successful testing of our 900-ton travel lift, our LRQA certifications, and our membership in ICOMIA, we have set the stage for even greater accomplishments. These milestones enhance our ability to support larger and more complex projects, while reaffirming our commitment to excellence in superyacht refit and repair.”
