KRM Yacht, headquartered in Turkey, has unveiled three new yacht refit projects, underscoring its unwavering commitment to environmental sustainability.
Throughout the past year, KRM Yacht has emerged as a leader in sustainable practices, exemplified by the successful completion of the MY Newal project, the ongoing transformation of Just 4 Us, and the commencement of the Costa Magna rebuild. These projects highlight KRM’s commitment to environmental preservation, prioritising refits over new builds to significantly reduce environmental impact.
By extending the lifespan of these impressive vessels, KRM Yacht not only showcases its dedication to sustainability but also emphasises the vital role of eco-efficiency and innovation in maritime pursuits, reinforcing its position as a pioneer in promoting environmentally conscious yachting practices.
Kerem Başer, managing director at KRM Yacht, commented, “Reflecting on our remarkable progress, I am profoundly proud of our team’s achievements, especially with our recent projects. The journey that began with the rebuild of Newal continued with Just 4 Us and Costa Magna transformation epitomises our dedication to not only excellence but also to sustainability and environmental responsibility.”
“These projects illuminate the inherent eco-friendliness of rebuilds compared to new constructions, by optimising existing resources and reducing waste, which greatly diminishes our environmental impact. This philosophy is the cornerstone of KRM Yacht’s mission and it is one of the reasons why rebuild is better than newbuild.”
Among the recent acquisitions is the 45-metre (147-foot) Heesen motor yacht, known as Mordan, celebrated for its refined design and exceptional workmanship. Additionally, the incorporation of the 50m (164ft) Wider superyacht named Stern, featuring hybrid propulsion, demonstrates KRM Yacht’s expertise in overseeing technologically sophisticated and environmentally conscious marine vessels.
The inclusion of MY Stern in KRM Yacht’s roster highlights the facility’s capability in enhancing the environmental sustainability of superyachts through innovative technologies and eco-friendly practices.
Demonstrating the trust of its clients, KRM Yacht has also announced the return of another repeat customer this year, the 40m (131ft) MY Lioness. This marks the third returning client in 2024, serving as a testament to KRM Yacht’s outstanding service quality, customer satisfaction, and dedication to environmental sustainability.
With 15 years of seasoned experience, a committed team, and extensive facilities, KRM Yacht consistently provides tailored services that reflect the individual character of each superyacht, all the while advocating for sustainable practices within the yachting sector.
