KRM Yacht Refit & Rebuild Announces Acquisition of a 900T Travel Lift

KRM Yacht Refit & Rebuild celebrated a significant milestone as their Managing Director visited the impressive facilities of Cimolai Technology. They were delighted to announce the signing of a contract with Cimolai Technology for a state-of-the-art 900T Travel Lift, scheduled to enhance their operations starting November 2024 at Viaport Marina Tuzla, their main facility’s location. With a capacity of 900T, KRM Yacht will accommodate vessels up to 70m in size, making it the largest Travel Lift in Turkey.

KRM Yacht Refit & Rebuild acquires Turkey’s largest travel lift

KRM Yacht Refit & Rebuild has announced a landmark development in its operational capabilities with the signing of a contract for a state-of-the-art 900-ton travel lift from Cimolai Technology. This advanced equipment, set to be operational by November 2024 at Viaport Marina Tuzla, will enable KRM Yacht to accommodate vessels up to 70 metres (230 feet) in length, making it the largest travel lift in Turkey.

Fitting out the fleet: the best superyacht refit projects of 2023

The owner of a 28.6-metre Couach was delighted with the refit works carried out by KRM Yacht. So when he upgraded to the 44.5-metre Costa Magna, he brought her to Istanbul for a full-scale strip-down and rebuild. Over this year, the yacht’s 240 square metres of teak deck will be pulled up and replaced, and her hull will be brought back to a bare shell to be repaired and repainted. Technical works will include modernising navigational equipment, replacing engines and gensets and installing a new automation system.

45m Costa Magna enters rebuild at KRM Yacht Refit

The 44.5-metre motor yacht Costa Magna has arrived at KRM Yacht Refit in Istanbul for a comprehensive rebuild. She is expected to be at the yard for just under a year.

The owner is a repeat client of KRM Yacht, having submitted their Couach 28 Open for a refit in 2013.
